I’ve been hanging onto this long, narrow slab of Vancouver Island quilted maple for a while — the kind of piece you don’t rush. When the right idea finally landed, I went all in: heavy burn, bold lines, and a design-forward tribute to the ocean giants we’re lucky enough to share this coast with.

One side features three powerful orcas.
The other, a single humpback gliding through the deep.

Three borosilicate glass bud vases sit neatly inside, turning this into a functional piece of art that plays beautifully with light, shadows, and whatever greenery you drop in.
